Obituary
He played Scrabble without a dictionary, the accordion without sheet music, and drank coffee without cream…but always with his sweetheart, every day at three pm. Beloved and adored husband of Dolores Kessler, nee Finkel: son of the late Lilyan and Reuben Kessler. Cherished father of Richard Kessler (Wendy), Ira Kessler, Michele Erwin-Negron (Joe), Linda Dawe (Charles), Elliot Weiss, and Karen Weiss-Slutsky; proud and loving grandfather of David (Tina), Eric (Katherine), and Jared Negron, Natalie and Hannah Dawe, Kevin Weiss (Jennifer) and Randi Weiss Harris (Joshua), Sarah and Andrew Slutsky, and Matthew Kessler; great grandfather of Austin and Riley; caring father-in-law to Mark Slutsky; cherished friend to Frances Gilman; dear cousin, uncle, and great uncle. Chapel service Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
